Todayβs top story:
I donβt mean to be that guy, but when mental health experts in northern Utah went on Fox 13 to discuss the dangers of βpredictive market appsβ, how serious do you take them?
I think they mean prediction markets. Not predictive markets.
The segment covers addiction concerns, youth participation, and the mental health implications of platforms like Kalshi and Polymarket becoming widely accessible.
The wrong name is worth noting, not as a gotcha, but as a genuine signal.
When mental health professionals, or at least the reporting of it as local TV stations canβt get the basic terminology right, it tells you how early we are in the public understanding of what these platforms actually are.
You canβt regulate, critique, or meaningfully warn consumers about something you havenβt taken the time to name correctly. βPredictive marketsβ and βprediction marketsβ are not the same framing, one describes a tool that generates forecasts, the other describes a financial exchange where people trade contracts on outcomes.
But sometimes we do have to call this stuff out.
Again, it really does show how early we are in all of this.
Legally, regulatorily, and conceptually.
I get it. The concerns are real, addiction, youth access, borrowed money, vulnerable consumers. But the credibility of the warning is undermined when the people issuing it havenβt done the basic reading.

At some point weβll talk about the elections coming up because Iβm beginning to build a position in Kalshi there wonβt be a blue wave this November.

π Daily Prediction Market Moonshot Report
π·πΊ Putin out β Three wallets, thirty minutes, $5,500
The Putin out market is getting crowded this morning.
This wallet made two buys at exactly 2:30 AM β $2,200 at 3.5 cents and $1,800 at 4.3 cents. Same timestamp, different prices, same wallet. $4,000 total.
This wallet β which weβve featured before β added $1,500 at 4.2 cents at 3:00 AM.
Three positions. Thirty minutes. $5,500 combined. All between 2:30 and 3:00 AM.
Combined with the $20,100 from the wallet we tracked earlier this week, the Putin out market now has serious accumulated whale capital across multiple independent wallets. The price has drifted from 2 cents to over 4 cents in a week. Someone β or several someones β keep buying into the move.
At an average of ~4 cents, $5,500 buys roughly 137,500 YES shares across these three positions. Combined payout across all: approximately $137,500.
π¦ Fed 50+ bps CUT in October β 0.2 cents
This wallet put $1,500 on YES at 0.2 cents on a 50+ bps Fed cut after the October meeting.
Not a 25 bps cut. A 50+ bps cut. At 0.2 cents.
The Fed just hiked in September. Warsh said inflation isnβt easing. Futures are pricing another hike. And someone just put $1,500 on a 50+ bps cut β the most dovish possible outcome β at effectively zero probability.
At 0.2 cents, $1,500 buys 750,000 YES shares. Payout if the Fed cuts 50+ bps in October: approximately $750,000.
Thatβs the highest potential payout moonshot weβve featured. The odds are essentially zero. The upside is enormous. Someone decided thatβs a reasonable trade at dawn.
1.0 cent. YES. $1,100.
This wallet put $1,100 on the split outcome β Democrats take the Senate, Republicans hold the House β at exactly 1 cent.
With four weeks until the midterms, the market prices this specific split at 1%. At 1 cent, $1,100 buys 110,000 YES shares. Payout: approximately $110,000.
This is worth watching as the election approaches. A Democratic Senate sweep is at 48% on Polymarket. Republicans holding the House is consensus. The split scenario at 1 cent may be significantly underpriced given those two independent probabilities.
1.3 cents. YES. $1,300.
This wallet put $1,300 on Warnock last night. Second wallet this week buying the Georgia Senator at the bottom of the 2028 field.
At 1.3 cents, $1,300 buys roughly 100,000 YES shares. Payout: approximately $100,000.
3.1 cents. YES. $1,400.
This wallet put $1,400 on a Bitcoin crash to $40,000 before year end.
Bitcoin is currently trading well above $40,000. Someone keeps buying this scenario every few days. Different wallets, same thesis. At 3.1 cents, $1,400 buys roughly 45,200 YES shares. Payout: approximately $45,200.
